More information on Renaissance Chicago Hotel

A hotel in search of a personality, the Renaissance Chicago is tasteful and understated -- perfectly suited to the business travelers who are the hotel's bread and butter. This large operation offers all your standard high-end amenities but is indistinguishable from any number of executive-style hotels elsewhere in the country. Still, this is a good bet for high-end service if you want a Loop location, and the hotel's bay windows provide stunning views of the Chicago River and the towers of North Michigan Avenue. Standard double rooms include a small sitting area with an armchair and desk; Club-level rooms, located on the top three floors, are half a room larger and have their own concierge and private lounge, where complimentary continental breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres are served. All the rooms were redecorated in 2004 and 2005, giving them a more stylish look (deep yellow and blue bedding and silver decorative accents). Suites include a sitting room with couches, meeting table, and wet bar and separate bedrooms. Request a river view for the best cityscape (corner suites also have excellent views of both the Chicago River and Lake Michigan). Facilities: Restaurant (American); lounge; indoor pool w/skylights; health club w/sauna and whirlpool; concierge; no business center but FedEx Kinko's located in lobby; 24-hr. room service; babysitting; same-day laundry service and dry cleaning; club-level rooms Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice.
