Discovery Lodge is a backpacker's located in downtown Queenstown, within walking distance of the lake and bus station, and approximately five miles from Queenstown Airport. This location is also within walking distance of the main street and information center. The property's amenities include the sun deck area, Sky TV and DVD lounge, full kitchen and dining area, travel center, job search center, Internet cafe, and bar with outdoor dining area. The lodge also offers a 24-hour front desk staff that can arrange adventure activities and onward travel, including scenic flights, horse trekking, mountain biking, four-wheel-drive motorbike touring, Whanganui River escapades, and more. All rooms feature balconies, sheets and duvets, refrigerators, central heat, and either shared or private bathrooms.
