We are very close to the Gallerija Shopping Centre in Old Riga. The Naughty Squirrel address is 50 Kaleju iela which is a cobble stone street with cafes, restaurants, supermarket, bars and clubs all within a VERY short walking distance.From The Bus Station (Autoosta) We are a short walk of 300 metres. You leave the Bus Station and turn left towards Old Riga by walking under the railway line as the railway is on a bridge above you. Then immediately walk down a few steps in to the underpass to get you to the other side of the road. Take the left side steps before the end of the tunnel back up to ground level. Once you emerge you should be facing a small kiosk. walk to the kiosk and then turn right and cross over the tram tracks. Walk across the park towards Monte Kristo Hotel and you will then come on to the Naughty Squirrel Hostel street called Kaleju Iela. Then turn right and walk 50 metres to number 50 which is the Naughty Squirrel Backpackers Hostel building. The reception is on the floor above the ground floor. From The Airport (Lidosta) Go to You Tube to search our You Tube video showing you how to get to us from the last stop of the 22A Airport Bus. Use the Train Station You Tube video if you catch the 22 Airport Bus.There is an airport bus that starts at 5:30am and finishes at 10:30pm . The bus stop to get on this bus 22 is located on the opposite side of the Airport carpark that you will see once you exit the airport. It departs around every 20 minutes and costs just 0.50 local cents (santimes). I recommend that you take a taxi as the red taxis at the airport have meters you can trust. The meter will start at 1.5 santimes with additional 0.50 santimes for each kilometre. So the total fair will be around 8 lats to get to Hostel. Tell the driver you want to go to Old Riga and the Audeju Iela entrance to Old Riga. The journey takes about 15 or 20 minutes and is very direct using only about 4 roads. You will know you are at Audeju Iela when you see a new shopping centre called Galeria Centres. The Hostel street is Kaleju Iela number 50. Walk about 20meters down Kaleju iela then you will find our entrance. Walk up the first set of stairs and you will find the reception door which is locked 24hours a day, just press the buzzer and we will open it for you.From The Ferry Port (Pasazieru Osta) The port is only about 4km from Old Riga. I recommend that you take a taxi and agree the price of 3 or 4 lats with the driver before you start as the Port taxis are not very ethical. Tell the driver you want to go to Old Riga and the Audeju Iela entrance to Old Riga. The journey takes about 5 or 10 minutes and is very direct using only about 3 roads.You will know you are at Audeju Iela when you see a new shopping centre called Galeria Centres. The Hostel street is Kaleju Iela number 50. Walk about 20meters down Kaleju iela then you will find our entrance. Walk up the first set of stairs and you will find the reception door which is locked 24hours a day, just press the buzzer and we will open it for you.From The Train Station (Centrala Stacija) Go to You Tube to search our You Tube video showing you how to get to us from the Riga Train Station. The most difficult part with the train station is finding your way out to the correct exit. What will help you is first finding a tall slim tower with a clock at the top and a bar inside at the top that is outside the train station. Then you will know you have exited the train station on the correct side. From this tall slim tower you will have the station building to your back and you will be facing Janvara and Marijas street. Walk to Janvara street and a little to the left and you will find an underpass to get you to the other side of the road. Take the left stairs at the end of the underpass and then on this new side of the road walk along the footpath that takes you over some water. Keep walking along that path next to the road and after about 100 metres you will see the Metropole Hotel on the right. Cross the road separating you from the Metropole and walk to the left side of the Metropole past it. There you will see another underpass bringing people from the Bus Station and from the picture theatre , in front of you will be a small park. Walk across the park and towards Monte Kristo Hotel and you will then come on to the Naughty Squirrel Backpackers Hostel street called Kaleju Iela. Then turn right and walk 50 metres to number 50 which is the Naughty Squirrel Backpackers Hostel building. The reception is on the floor above the ground floor. If You have a Bus or Car.
