Directions

Hotel in Krakow, only one has been lucky enough to find a home on the ancient market square. Wentzl RestaurantThe restaurant that was the basis for founding the Wentzl hotel was opened in 1792. Jan Wentzl, its founder has moved his business to this building in the 18th century. Since then the restaurant has remained in Wentzls' hands. Some say it is the best restaurant in whole Krakow. While coming to the Wentzl restaurant or even while passing by it is worth taking a look at the painting on the facade of the building. The legend says that the Krakow Academy's student crated it in order to repay the debts for the food and drinks he had made in the restaurant. The interiors of the Wentzl restaurant remind of the places Polish aristocracy used to eat in previous centuries. Neatly prepared tables, candles on them, ornamented, renaissance doors and a stove in the corner of the rooms make the meal in the Wentzl restaurant a very nice experience. The renaissance interiors are touched with the modernity. There is also a possibility of organizing a splendid banquet or party in the Wentzl restaurant.
