The Grand Hotel Vesuvio has been built and furnished in a modern style, is located in a charming position, overlooking Sorrento and the enchanting Bay of Naples and looking out over to Vesuvius. Walking in to the hotels lobby the size and expanse of the entrance is a theme throughout this impressive hotel. All public areas are large and have marble flooring throughout which provides an ambiance of cool and refreshing atmosphere. The hotels offers large swimming pools with a Jacuzzi pool in the centre and with a separate section for children. The hotel offers an extensive and sizeable lounge bar with outside seated terracing with full sun and shaded areas. There is ample seating for both comfortable and quiet relaxing atmosphere with wonderful views across the Bay of Naples. In addition to the wide lounges, the hotel offers a range of conference rooms, two gift shops and ample off-street garage car parking, extensive solarium areas with sun chairs, a children's playground, and a regular free shuttle bus into the center of Sorrento town. The hotel offers two restaurants, and two bars. The Vesuvio Restaurant is very impressive set in a expansive marble floored room with large glass walls over looking the Bay of Naples and the swimming pools. The hotel has 248 rooms, all with a bath and shower, air-conditioning, minibar, radio, colour Satellite TV, access to Internet. There are also balcony-sea view rooms available on request. The hotels has mature lemon and orange groves which provide for a peaceful shaded walk in the heat of the Sorrento days.
