Our traditional hotel – since 1868 in family property and documentary mentioned in 1564 – is one of the leading hotels of the Franconian lake plateau. Our three-star superior hotel provides 25 comfortable guest rooms, two suites, one lift and hotel-owned parking spaces for cars and bikes (both free of charge). Each guest room is equipped with en suite facilities, wired internet access, hairdryer, satellite TV with radio, safe and phone, thus leaving nothing to be desired.Start off the day nicely and enjoy a copious breakfast buffet served in the bright Seeadlerstube dining room or on the sunny terrace.Our hotel lies in the centre of „Gunzenhausen“ but at the same time at the “Altmühl” esplanade. The Altmühl Bicycle Path passes right behind our house and also the historical Limes is only a short hop away.

From Nuremberg Airport (NUE): Distance to Hotel Blauer Wolf is 60 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive. Getting there. The airport is connected with Nuremberg's central train station by the U2 underground line. The fare for a single ticket is 1.80 EUR, and journey time is around 12 minutes. From here, take the train to Gunzenhausen train station, changing train once. Taxis and hotel shuttle is available from Gunzenhausen train station. Taxis directly from Nuremberg Airport to Hotel Blauer Wolf cost about 80 EUR. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. The Old Town of Gunzenhausen is easily explored on foot. The town offers a train station that links it to Nuremberg. A car is recommended for exploring more of the Bavarian region. Driving directions. From Nuremberg Airport. Take motorway A3 from Nuremberg Airport in the direction of Hellbronn. Follow the A8 in the direction of Hellbronn. Follow this route for 35 kilometres and take the first exit for Gunzenhausen. Follow the main street and turn left at the next crossroad. At the next traffic light, turn right and follow the street for 300 metres. Head towards the Old Town and Hotel Blauer Wolf is at the start of the Old Town on the right.
