The Craig Manor Hotel nestles on the brow of a hill overlooking Lake Windermere, Langdale Pikes and surrounding mountains in the English Lake District. Just a short stroll from the front door is the village of Bowness with its pubs, shops, cinema, cafes, and museum. The guests can walk to the lakeshore from the hotel in approximately 15 minutes. From here one can take a cruise to nearby Ambleside or Lakeside. Paisleys Restaurant takes its name from Sir Thomas Paisley, who was the original owner of the house. The views from the restaurant are spectacular, overlooking Lake Windermere, the Langdale Pikes, Claife Heights, and surrounding mountains. The chef prides himself on his interesting and imaginative cuisine, mixing the best of English and Continental fayre, using where possible local produce. The guests have complimentary use of the facilities of Parklands leisure club. Here guests may swim, play badminton, squash, use the multi gym, or relax in the steam room, sauna or Jacuzzi with perhaps a game of snooker afterwards in their comfortable lounge where snacks and drinks are also served.
