"overall, it's a place to lay your head, but it's not much more than that." source Travelocity

  • Clean: Rating of 4.2 out of 5

"The bathrooms were very small although they were clean." source Orbitz

"Room was small but clean." source Hotels.com

"But if you want a clean, convenient, affordable alternative to the pricier hotels in the area then this is a good bet." source Travelocity

"Rooms were clean and the old time feel was nice." source Expedia

"Rooms clean and housekeeping does a nice job." source Orbitz

  • Service: Rating of 4.0 out of 5

"restaurant next door had friendly staff but the food was just okay." source Travelocity

"The location was great and the service was good." source Expedia

"ItÂ’s a great location, helpful staff and within walking distance to dining, nightlife and the ball game." source Expedia

  • Location: Rating of 4.8 out of 5

"The Ramada Inn and Suites is conveniently located in the heart of downtown San Diego Gaslamp district. If you're looking for entertainment and extreme partying, this is the place to be---just walking distance of many of the bars and nightclubs." source Orbitz

"Many other options to stay at downtown San Diego, I would avoid this one unless it's a REALLY good rate." source Hotels.com

"Gaslamp location is the best." source Priceline

"The hotel was located in the heart of the gaslight district." source Expedia

"We parked our car with the valet and took the train or trolley anywhere we wanted to go that wasnÂ’t in walking distance (which a lot was." source Expedia

  • Room: Rating of 3.7 out of 5

"If you're planning on spending a lot of time and you're on a tight schedule this is not the hotel for you but if all you need a room for is sleep and a shower this hotel is great." source Hotels.com

"Let's start from the mattress lying in the hallway on the first floor, the elevator was tiny and no one offered to assist us (two ladies with heavy bags) with our luggage, my sheets were torn, my friends sheets (in her room) had stains on them, my ceiling had mold, I found a small dead bug in my bed, they forgot to do my wake up call, the lights in my room flickered, the bathroom was tiny with no tub." source Travelocity

"But the rooms were really nice, I especially loved the beds. Not really big, but it beats my shared room at home any time." source Expedia

"I agree that this place is historic so be prepared for the pitfalls that goes with it such as the old elevators, small rooms & even smaller bathrooms that the other reviewers already mentioned. Even when we talked ourselves into thinking that it's just a place for us to crash for the night after a good girls night out, it was such a hassle to fit the people & our luggage in the room." source Travelocity

"The rooms are small but look freshly painted and are nicely appointed." source Travelocity
