More information on Macdonald Randolph

You might recognise this lovely hotel as it was often used to file both Inspector Morse and it was a firm favourite with the cast and crew of Inspector Lewis (the follow on programme from Inspector Morse) which filmed at the hotel in 2005. The newly opened 'The SPA at The Randolph' is built in the old cellar of the hotel with vaulted ceilings, luxury Italian tiling and fabrics plus relaxing candle light that creates a luxurious atmosphere unlike any other in city. Awared it's 5 stars in March 2007, this is Oxford's finest hotel (04/07IT) It is traditional. The hotel was built in 1864 and is a prime example of neo-gothic architecture. The hotel is centrally located on Beaumont Street which is less than 10 minutes walk to the train station and city centre.

Traveler Photos of Oxford

Love that ochre shade Somewhere in Oxford. Liverpool, this church was bombed in WW2. St. Helen's Passage, where we walked through during the Ghost Tour (which was fascinating and very well guided I might add) where a lot of bloodshed occurred and where apparently there are lots of reports of a feeling of unease or anxiousness, and the smell of horses still residing from that day!
