Dating from 1600s, this half timbered house resides in the Cotswold market town of Cirencester, with its bi weekly street market. Guestrooms have old world charm, with beams and decor in warm earthy tones; all feature bathrobes and Internet points. Modern Mediterranean dishes are served in the fireside bistro, with its wooden floors and plum coloured decor. This hotel features 28 guestrooms, all of which include tea and coffee making facilities and dial up Internet connections. Decor is sympathetic to the building's period details, including beams and wooden floors. After a busy day exploring the Cotswolds, guests can relax with a book and a coffee by the lobby fireplace and order meals in their rooms around mealtimes courtesy of room service. Wireless Internet access is available at various points throughout the hotel and is complimentary to guests. Simone's Gym is 100 metres from the hotel and offers reduced rates for visitors. Guests of the Fleece Hotel enjoy a complimentary cooked to order breakfast each morning. Fleece Restaurant English favourites are served from a table d'hote menu in the formal dining room. Open Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. Bar 1651 Bistro Mediterranean influenced dishes are served here. The dining room has original Georgian mouldings and rustic fireplace; d�cor is pared down and modern in shades of brown and plum. Open for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday and lunch on Sunday.

Directions

Bristol Airport (BRS): Approximate driving time is 40 minutes and distance is 46 miles (74 kilometres). National Express coaches run from Bristol bus station. The Bristol International Flyer bus connects the airport with Bristol Temple Meads train station and the bus station. The journey time is approximately 30 minutes; travellers can pay on boarding the bus. A car is the best way of journeying between Bristol and the Cotswolds and exploring the local villages. Driving directions: From Bristol Airport, take the M4 followed by the A429. Continue until Cirencester and follow signs to the town centre. Public transport is limited around the Cotswolds, so a car is recommended for getting about.
