Newtonmore Hostel

Newtonmore, in the Cairngorms National Park and the Highlands of Scotland, is the perfect base for outdoor activities, relaxing or touring. Situated at the rear of Craigellachie House, our purpose built hostel has 3 bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 10 (4+4+2). However, any of the three rooms can be booked as a private room for two (or more). LocationThe hostel is situated at the rear of the owners white house (Craigellachie House), at the junction of Main Street and the Fort William Road. Look for the blue signs.Train NewtonmoreIf arriving by train walk up Station Road for 1/2 mile until you meet the main road and turn right, go past the Esso Station. the hostel is another 200 yds. It's a pleasant walk , however, if it is with raining and we are available we will collect you for free from Newtonmore Station. Call us if you want to be collected on 01540 673360. There is no phone at the Newtonmore Station so you will need a mobile. Train KingussieStart walking, it's only 3 miles and will do you even more good than walking from Newtonmore Station, however if the rain is a problem , and we are available, we will collect from Kingussie Station for a �6 fee. There is public telephone at Kingussie Station.Bus (Citylink) from InvernessBuses stop opposite the hostel (the Craig Dubh stop). Buses (Citylink) from Edinburgh/GlasgowBuses from Edinburgh/Glasgow stop 200 yards away (the McPherson Museum stop). Check InTo check in come to the BACK door of the white house and ring the cowbell.
