Cape Town s most famous hotel, the Mount Nelson is an urban sanctuary set in tranquil gardens on the lower slopes of Table Mountain, offering an oasis of stylish sophistication, privacy and tranquillity. The hotel offers two restaurants ��� the Cape Colony restaurant combines fine dining with live music each evening and the menu features contemporary South African cuisine with an exotic Asian influence, while the wine list was recently awarded the Diners Club Award of Excellence. From Cape Town International Airport (CPT): Distance to the Mount Nelson Hotel is 19 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Getting there. A taxi direct from the airport to the hotel should cost around 200 SAR. Transfers provided by the hotel include a microbus (maximum of 7 passengers or a Mercedes (maximum of 3 passengers). These transfers are available for a surcharge. Getting around. Trains and buses run throughout the city, but driving is the best way to get around. Many attractions are clearly signposted, however, parking can be difficult. Taxis are available but can be expensive.
