Overall:

"Overall it was pretty awful, it was quite some distance from the old town and uphill all the way back, rooms were small and the staff were so uncooperative as to be almost antagonistic; they gave the impression that they resented you being there - there were hidden charges for almost everything." — source Hostelworld

Room:

"We originally booked a reservation for the Dubrovnik Youth Hostel, however, due to lack of availability (we guess, since the owners offered no explanation) we were transferred to a private acommodation in the hills, where we were given a "twin room" which was basically teeming with insects, ranging from fleas to flat out spiders, beds that would self-destruct with any amount of pressure, a tv that didn't work, and TWO plugs for the entire room; both were taken up by a pathetic fan and the tv." — source Hostelworld
