RiverBarge Excursions lands in Guntersville!!

Guntersville residents can enjoy a new visitor to its waterfront. The 730-foot R/B River Explorer, the only floating hotel barge in America,will barge into Guntersville, Ala. Saturday, July 19, 2008 for its inaugural visit. RiverBarge Excursions will host a private First Landing ceremony Saturday afternoon for public officials and media. Residents wanting to catch a glimpse of this one-of-a-kind barge can view it at the landing on Scotts Street - however, no pubic tours will be available. Guests traveling onboard the R/B River Explorer will visit a number of the attractions in Guntersville during their overnight stay, including Lake Guntersville State Park overlooking the majestic 69,000 acre Guntersville Reservoir.
