Acatenango is a towering stratovolcano in Guatemala in close proximity to the city of Antigua. It is joined with the Volcan de Fuego, known for being active daily, and together as a massif they are referred to as La Horqueta. Acatenango itself has two peaks and is popular with rock climbers, mountaineers, hikers, and campers with a taste for adventure.
