How Ya'll,

We had a uneventful flight which is always a good thing. Thanks to Sandie and Jozel for the ride to the airport - it's always a good thing to save $17 per day for parking. The kids enjoyed the scene at the airport.-   check out there pics. We were fortunate to depart from the new International Terminal D at DFW - this one is pretty nice compared to the other terminals which are 30+ year-old.

The plane seating was a 3-asile-3 seat arrangement. We arranged for Laneshia, Jadin and Mary to sit on one row and Curvie Jr, Aria and Curvie Sr to be a row behind with Shaunette in a row in front of us. As I mentioned - my dad is not shy about his uneasiness with planes. Everything appeared cool in the airport terminal but not to soon after we sat down he didn't look or act to well. Aria wanted to sit by the window so I was next to him and he mentions he's not handling it well. Oh-NO!

I tell him to pull out his MP3 player (which was bought for him for this purpose of calming him). I could tell he was nervous because he fumbled around a bit trying to hook it up. Now, keep in mind, this was before the plane was moving.

The music seemed to ease him a bit. A few minutes later - the flight attendant instructed to cabin to turn off all electronics. As we taxi'ed and during take off I begin to talk to him about the Cowboys training camp and who the Mavericks should sign during the off season - he wasn't very attentive in listening. But, he made it through and by the time we got to crusing altitude he told me he was OK. Also - it turned out to be a smooth ride with just a few bumps. Whew!

Now about little Aria - she was ready for this flight. As I mentioned she very strongly stated "I want to sit by the window" as we reached our seat - So you bet this little princess got her wish. As the plane slowly taxi'ed to the runway she steered intently out the window and she soon turned to me with a puzzled look and said "Daddy, are we going to leave the ground?" I told her, "yes, but we have to reach the runway, first."

As we took off, Aria was glued to the window. She appeared amazed as the clouds got closer and closer. She was a little to short to see the ground disappearing due to being strapped in her seat belt. She was totally in awe - but not the least bit nervous.

Flight with Aria was busy - she didn't want to take a nap so she ate and ate and eat. Oh, did I say she ate?  Towards the end of the three hour flight she watched a two videos of Hip Hop Harry and Hi-5 which kept her preoccupied.

Jadin had his Nintendo DS so he was no problem at all. Mom, Shaunette and Laneshia... they were cool, too.

We took our time getting off - I hoped the captain would let us get a picture of the kids in the cockpit - and lucky for us he was a nice one. He was asking us if they kids wanted to go sit in the cockpit seat before I even asked. Check out the cool pictures.

Bye for now.
