The good new is; today is the day we start going down, the bad news is; there's a pass at 4684 metres we have to cross before that but it dawned a better day than yesterday. The walk up wasn't that steep so if you walked very slowly and pretended it was Dartmoor it wasn't so bad and the views of the lakes was spectacular. We made it to the high point in about one and half hours and then started going down which wasn't the treat we'd been expecting. The going was extremely rough with loose rock, ice and snow on the track so you had to watch every step, then it started raining, then it started chucking it down and we got soaked. By the time we got to Ghopte (is that a song?) we were cold wet and relieved and happy to sit around the stove chatting, everybody drying off their clothes until the room filled with the steam.
