Both of us didn't sleep to well due to the couple of insects we found in both of our beds! Nothing really to do with the new hostel, must have got in through a window or something. Anyway we got up around 9am and had a big breakfast of porridge and 4 pancakes each before checking out of the hostel and topping up on gas and oil. We left Golden at 11.55pm and drove into Glacier National Park where we had to put our watches/clocks back 1hr because we'd crossed back over to Pacific time. This park is much smaller than the other 4 so we drove 72km before briefly getting out to take a pic of the impressive Rogers Pass summit. Then drove a further 15km to Hemlock Grove where we spent 20mins walking along the boardwalk trail through the 350 year old forest. We left around 12.10 and drove into Mt Revelstoke National Park which is the smallest of all the Rocky National Parks. We drove to the far end of the park and then up the steep winding 26km road up Mt Revelstoke where we arrived at 1.20pm and ate lunch. We then hiked the 1km to the summit and spent an hour following the various trails for about 4km getting great views in all directions. We left at 2.45pm and got on highway 1 west and headed for Kamloops. We were both very sad to be leaving the Rocky Mountains which had been our home for 3.5weeks as we had such an amazing time. We arrived in Kamloops at around 5.30pm so we decided to keep going towards Whistler. After getting gas in Cache Creek we joined highway 99 west which took us up and down lots of mountains which was nice and scenic until it got dark, then quite scary as there were no street lights and the mountains got steeper. We reached Pemberton at 9.15pm and decided we'd stop here for the night. Everything was closed so food from the Petro-Can was our dinner. By sheer luck the guy who served us worked with a person who run a hostel 5mins away so we ended up staying there. The hostel was really nice, we had the whole up stairs of a house to ourselves and we sat in the lounge and watched tv before bed, long awaited after a 688km drive!
