Arrived to Gisborne after a 4hr drive, once we got there we didn't, to begin with have much luck and i blame that on Kuma as in Rotorua we only got charged for 2nights accommodation when we were there for three!! Anyways we finally found some where and went out for dinner. The next day we went round the shops as we still haven't brought a xmas pressie for mum and dad. We then walk round Gisborne town and saw all the statues of Captain Cook and Monuments from the war. After a day of walking we decide to chill out that night and chat to other travelers.

The next day we were planning to go surfing but the waves weren't yet again on our side so we ended up sun bathing, got bored of Gisborne by the end as if there is no surf there isn't much else to do.

The day we left ness and i woke up at 5am, we drove to the top of a hill and watched the sunrise it was really cool to watch and it happened so fast, Gisborne is the first place in NZ for the sun to rise. We then headed back to the hostel to sleep some more!!!
