Nov. 27, Sunday:  We went on an early ponga boat ride into a mangrove swamp, it was quiet and warm, the water was warm.  The water was clear, we saw two different kinds of rays "flying" through the water.  We saw sharks, and other fish and quite a few sea turtles.  There were also herons, and other birds.  Then back to the big boat to pack up and eat breakfast, then a trip to the harbor where we came up on the dock for the last time.  As we came up the causeway from the ponga, there was a large sea lion draped across the causeway, blocking our path.  We had to step over it.  At the top there was a park bench with 2 sea lions.  One of our party tried for a last picture with the sea lions, and got bit in the leg for his trouble (scratched skin but not deep).  That makes 3 bites total for this group (they don't tell you THAT in the brochures!).  I think I have seen enough of sea lions!

Then we said our goodbyes to all & exchanged e-mail addresses, what a great group of people!  Then we got our flight back to Quito, got back late afternoon.  I really noticed the altitude this time, more then the first time, I think because I was coming from sea level to 8000 feet!  I awoke up several times in the night gasping for breath!
