    Ambulance -- Call tel. 112.

    Climate -- Antalya has four seasons: fall, winter, spring, and hell, when temperatures soar to digits even the government won't accurately report. (Everybody gets the day off when the mercury passes 104°F/40°C). Humidity can sometimes reach into the triple digits as well.

    Consulates -- Great Britain has a Vice-Consulate at Fevzi Çakmak Caddesi, 1314 Sokak 6/8, Elif Apt. (tel. 0242/244-5313).

    Festivals -- Antalya hosts the eminent Golden Orange Film Festival in October. The Aspendos Theatre has a brief shining moment in July, during the National Opera and Ballet Festival.     Hospitals -- The Antalya Private Hospital (tel. 0242/335-0000) is at Bayindir Mahallesi 325 Sok. 8. You will also encounter English-speaking staff at the Antalya International Hospital at Kiziltoprak Mah., Meydan PTT Arkasi (near the post office), tel. 0242/311-1500.

    Post Office -- The PTT is open from 9am to 5pm for postal services and 24-7 for phone access. The nearest office is at the yacht harbor, on Güllük Caddesi (tel. 0242/241-5300 or 0242/241-5381).
