Getting There -- There are frequent express trains between Zurich and the railway junction at Landquart. From Landquart, connecting trains depart about once an hour for Klosters on secondary rail lines. Call tel. 0900/300-300 for rail information and schedules.
If you're driving from Zurich, head south on the N3 expressway until you reach Landquart, at which point you cut southeast along Route 28.
Visitor Information -- Some roads in the center have street names, others outside the town don't, but establishments can easily be found by following directional signs. The Klosters Tourist Board, in the center of town at Alte Bahnhofstrasse 6 (tel. 081/410-20-20; www.klosters.ch), is open in the winter Monday to Saturday 8:30am to noon and 4 to 6pm, and Sunday 9:30 to 11:30am and 3:30 to 6:30pm; and in the summer Monday to Friday 8:30am to noon and 2:30 to 6pm, and Saturday 8:30am to noon and 2:30 to 4pm.
Getting Around -- A city bus, known locally as either the "Ortsbus" or the "Klosters-Serneus" bus, makes frequent runs from Klosters-Dorf (the railroad station) to the base of the town's ski lifts, passing virtually every building in town along the way. Access to the bus is free for anyone in possession of a "guest card" (which proves your residency within a local hotel or guesthouse) or a ski pass. Otherwise, a ride on the bus costs from 1F (80¢/40p) to 3F ($2.45/£1.25), depending on how far within the town you ride.
