Most of León's buses arrive and depart from the Estación de Autobuses, Paseo Ingeniero Saenz de Miera (tel. 98-721-10-00). Three to five buses per day link León with Zamora and Salamanca, and there are 11 per day from Madrid (trip time: 4 1/4 hr.). A one-way ticket on a direct regular bus from Madrid is 21€ to 35€ ($27-$46) for the supra (comfortable) service. For more information about prices, call tel. 90-242-22-42.

León lies at the junction of five major highways coming from five different regions of Spain. From Madrid's periphery, head northwest on the N-VI superhighway toward La Coruña. At Benavente, bear right onto the N-630.
