Getting There -- Calatayud lies on the main rail line linking Madrid to Zaragoza. There are 15 trains a day from Madrid, nine from Zaragoza, and 15 from Barcelona. There are three to four buses a day from Zaragoza (trip time: 1 1/2 hr.). Calatayud is on the E-90 linking Madrid with Zaragoza.
Visitor Information -- The tourist office at Plaza del Fuerte s/n (tel. 97-688-63-22; www.calatayuddigital.com) is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 1pm and 4 to 7pm, and Sunday 10am to 1pm.
