Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk (Church of Our Lady; Bruges): The soaring 122m (396-ft.) spire of this church can be seen from a wide area around Bruges. As a magnificent bonus, the church also holds a small but beautiful marble Madonna and Child by Michelangelo. The only work by the great Italian artist to leave Italy during his lifetime, and one of only a few outside Italy, it occupies a place of honor. In addition, there's a painting by Anthony Van Dyck, and the 15th-century bronze tomb sculptures of Charles the Bold and Mary of Burgundy.
