Freeport is a pretty island. It is not as commerical I think as the rest of the Bahamas. The hotel we stayed at was the Radisson. It was under construction during the time. I bet it looks beautiful right now. Our stay was a wet one...we went during the rainy season so it trickled on and off everyday for a couple hours. Didn't bother us though...it was still warm and the people are super friendly. The food is amazing there. Conch is delicious...I do suggest trying it...especially fresh in a salad or sandwich. Pier One was a really great restaurant and at about 8pm or a little before a man goes out with some fish chum and rings a bell. You can see the shadows for miles...sharks that come from every direction to have some of the fish remains. I think there must have been three different kinds of shark in that water that I could directly name...bull, tiger, hammerhead...possible lemon...there were so many. Regardless it was so amazing. I do suggest trying it. I'll defintely head back there when it isn't so wet...I think the island has a lot of great things to offer.
