Food is good and slightly cheaper than the rest of town for resturants. Friendly locals frequent and will chat you up if you stand around looking lost :)

It helps to have your wife making sandwiches every morning, and handing them to you while you drive, but this is surely the cure for the $15 burger they'll try to sell you at most places in NZ
