Jeff Hamilton says:
Quick trip, great sites, lucky you! If you get a chance, by sure to check to the Rodin Museum when you are back in Paris. The original "Thinker", "Burghers of Calais", casting of "The Kiss" (my favorite, by the way), and many other wonderful sculptors. Of course, the museum was his residence and studio, all well preserved by the French gov't. Just down the street is a wonderful little garden containing over 1,500 medicinal plants and herbs used since the Middle Ages. I can't remember the name, but I have a poster on my classroom wall. I'll post the address tomorrow. I'm so glad you got to see Giverny. Sherri and I considered it the high point of our Paris/London 10-day trip a few years ago. The Louvre is truly monumental in size, but Paris itself is worth experiencing. Go back and grab up a "day ticket" on one of those boats that travels the river, like a bus route, dropping tourists at stops near major sites...like the Eiffel tower, and downstream - Notre Dame. Have a crepe and think of your aunt & uncle.
