Got a job...Bonjour France

Well ended up getting a job on the boat 'Willpower' which i had done day work on. Left Barcelona at 6am for Cannes, France in a 12hour crossing! Packed my bags and out of here...goodbye Barcelona! Crossing was pretty crazy with 40knot winds, 3m swell and then we lost our sterring! Had a couple of crazy tips where we almost rolled, but apart from that, made it into Cannes around 9pm requiring some major electrical work. Really pretty place, although we were right in the middle of the port surrounded by identical superyachts, surprise surprise! Went out with the crew for dinner, then an early night after a long day. Next day, its up early and cleaning before the owners arrived! Really nice perth family of 4 adults, who took us out to dinner that night to say thank you for surviving the gulf of leon crossing.

Afternoon we depart for out main port in Gulf Juan. Its between Cannes and Antibes, and about an hours motor away. Head out of port and then disater number two, one engine on fire! Things not starting off to well! Arrive in Port...just, that afternoon. Owners then get given the loan of the actual predator vessel from the James Bond movie so at least they aren't stuck in a broken boat with mechanics everywhere!

Next day its of to St Tropaz where we are currently now. Such a beautiful place, so far the only place in France that i could happily live. We are in the centre of the port which is amazing, which you have to book in November for the summer season. Been working hard out on the boat so enjoying the breaks to explore the place occassionally! Have another kiwi onboard which is nice, he's the decky.

Well day 5 i think, and had a meeting with the skipper and i'm going to finish up on Friday as they prefer to have a couple on the boat, so will probably jump off the boat in Antibes. Had a few job offers in every port we've been, so fingers crossed should be able to pick up some work fairly quickly.
