Everglades and Ft. Lauderdale, FL

We went to Shark Valley in the Everglades National Park. This part of the park provides a tram tour that goes through a large part of the everglades.  We were provided with several opportunities to take pictures of alligators, several types of turtles, many different kinds of birds, and all kinds of plant life. We left Shark Valley after a few hours and then continued north to Ft. Lauderdale. We spent the night at the La Quinta hotel. We relaxed in the hot tub and pool for a while, and then did laundry and prepared for the next week in the Bahamas.  The following morning most of the class departed on the 5 am shuttle to the airport. Jocelyn and I were left behind to take the 7 am shuttle to the airport. We caught a flight that was much later than planned, and arrived on Andros Island, Bahamas in the early afternoon.
