La Residenza del Proconsolo was very charming... we stayed in a superior double which had a small balcony and a wonderful view of the back of the Duomo. The owners are very sweet and helpful. Breakfast wasn't all that, but it is included. The place was very clean, with big renovated bathrooms with jacuzzi bathtubs. My only complaint was the lighting... it was a bit dark in the rooms and could have used more or better lighting. The price could not be beat.
