We took the train back to Paris and then to Florence. The train from Paris to Florence got delayed... we suspected that it the people were on strike or something!

Looking for our hostel was painful as we trekked a long way to find Ostello Villa, only to find that they have no more beds. We ended up in Santi Hostel. The owners seemed reluctant to rent us the rooms, maybe they're just racist against Asians. But the rooms were nice and we had the whole room to ourselves.

We hopped onto a bus to get to St. Marco museum, and saw a Ferarri shop along the way! I'm a fan so I have to mention it. We also bought gelatos since the weather was freaking hot. We walked to Duomo and there was a really long queue of people trying to get in. Along the streets were lots of flea market stalls and artists. Florence is really a very colourful and lively city.

After that, we isited Piazza Dei Patti and Piazzale Michelanae. Overall, Florence feels like a really "ancient" city with all the "Roman" like buildings and statues. It's like stepping into the history books again, except the people around are all from the 20th century!

The next day, we managed to do some laundry before leaving the hostel. We left for Uffizi museum. There was another long queue and we waited for over an hour and a half before we got inside. The galleries weren't as impressive as in the Lourve or Van Gogh. The museum housed masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael etc.

We then took a train to visit Pisa. We headed straight for the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Being Singaporeans, we snapped photos furiously and tried many poses.
