“a beautiful marble bathroom which echoed the various noisy bodily functions that Anna and Cameron delight in” |
We arrived in Florence at about 8pm and while Cameron, James and I had a beer and looked after the bags, Alice and Anna went scouting. Eventually found ourselves all sharing a room again and sharing a beautiful marble bathroom which echoed the various noisy bodily functions that Anna and Cameron delight in. We found a rowdy restaurant next door and had dinner then hit the sack!
Next day we were up bright and early to line up at the Academie to see David and various other works of art. It was free! We stayed in there for a few hours then hit the 4 hour queue at the Uffizi to see some Boticelli, Raphael and Michaelangelo. Hours and hours of seeing all the amazing art we've heard about and seen in books was so great. We got excited, a little noisy and were told to be quiet by the noise police. We then walked up the hill to the massive fort to look for a cheap bar, got a little lost but had great views the whole time. Ended up in a little trattoria for dinner and once again, got a little tipsy on the copious amounts of wine.
Next day was a day trip to Chianti.
