Review of Flame of the Volcano

Having just returned from Fira, I am stunned to read that this restaurant has good reviews.  We ate at many of the town's restaurants, with the 'Flame of the Volcano' being without doubt the worst experience of the holiday. I elected to eat keftedes (meatballs).  Having asked for rice, they produced bought-in vine-leaves stuffed with cold rice, as they did not have any other type. (In Greece?!!!)  The meatballs were almost certainly tinned - of the type you can buy in any UK supermarket.  The owner was also unable to fulfill other requests (Pitta bread, butter etc), leaving us to pay the bill, and to go onto a different restaurant.  there is an incredible number of eateries in Fira; this one is best avoided.
