A very strange fashion trend of a past era hit Fernie this wednesday. Hotdog day, in honour of the great 1984 ski movie , was held and many strange outfits appeared on the mountain in homage of the luminous ski costumes of the period. Straight skis, snurfers and 80s techniques all surfaced, culminating with a massive deck party on the hill. Here is the (edited) photographic evidence!!

We have been busy back at school this week (although it's much more fun with the mountain as the classroom) and I'm delighted to say that Rob and I have both qualified as Snowboard Instructors. It was a definite challenge, with continuous assessment for 3 days, so I'm glad we made it. Not quite ready for a career change yet but quite an interesting addition to the old CV!
