      <title>Machu Picchu journal: treking to the "lost city" of machu picchu</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;High up in mountains, sitting in isolation, rests the “lost
city” of the ancient Inca’s. Rediscovered, or at least put back on the
map in 1911 by American explorer Hiram Bingham. What is interesting in this, is
that he was led to the site by a little boy (a 10 year old local boy)…and how
the hell he was able to take him up is pretty amazing in itself, considering
how challenging the hike truly is…&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This trek isn’t for everyone, you do need to be in pretty
good shape, it is challenging, and hopefully you’ll have spent a few
days in cuzco getting used to the higher elevation (14ooo ... &lt;/p&gt;</description>
