Rio journal: Rio = good place to unwind...

The journey from Sao Paulo to Rio was bad. Check in took 1.5 hour. The flight was delayed an hour and I was stuck in the stupid plane. Reach Rio International Airport, wasted 1hr waiting for the luggage. At the end, I missed the time to meet Shangker and Prakash (my other colleagues) in Rio. To make matter worse, it was raining cats and dogs in Rio and there is nothing I could do. Therefore, I board on a bus.. went to nowhere and back to hotel.

At night, after persuaded by Joel, I sign up for the Folklore Samba Show. It was sucks and not worth it. I paid bloody BR 150 for it and totally ...

I haven't been updating this blog for a while now as I have been busy working.. back to office on Monday. On Tues and Wed, I was at Hotel Deville, Porto Alegre organising my event. I have posted some photos and hope you guys will enjoy it.

I left Porto Alegre this morning and boarded the flight from Porto Alegre to Sao Paulo at 12.35pm. I arrived Sao Paulo around 2.05pm and went straight to my Hotel Eldorado Boulevard at Sao Luis. It took me 2 hours to get to the hotel due to bad traffic... as usual.. big city..

Once I am here, both me and Joel (colleague that came with me) walked ...

The building is very very old... and the furniture has been there for years. But the toilet and everything is kept quite neatly and clean.

Last night I met up with the other colleagues for dinner with our local host, Jessica. We had this very nice sushi buffet that is very nice to eat. I am so glad that I finally get the chance to eat something normal for me.. and enjoy the night socialing with colleagues and catch up where we left. After the dinner, we asked our driver to fetch us around Porto Alegre for a night view. Everything is OK except the fact that the weather is so bloody cold!! It is almost 10 degrees with wind blowing off your face! Well, my 'jacket' doesn't really work this time and I am kinda terrified about my trip ...

I woke up very early this morning. At about 5.30am, I am already awake... lounge around in my bed and officially woke up at 6am. Wow! I can't even remember when was the last time I woke up at 6am and wasn't yawning...

The sun shines brightly since 5.30am... I guess that the day is longer here in POA. I leisurely washed my face and got myself hook up to KL office network. Had a brief chat with colleagues there and check some mails. I was so energised this morning that I went to the gym and had a short run. Decent hotel with the normal amenities. Surroundings are fine with a nice shopping mall attached. Can find lots of nice restaurants around with average pricing...

Went around for dinner and none of them understand what I was talking about. This nice restaurant by the roadside has a chef that speaks fluent english... he got me a nice salmon to die for.

I didn't sleep the night before. I was too excited, or maybe worried about the journey to come. I had never been away from my life for so long, so far. Was very nervous that it is gonna be a terrible journey...

I reached KLIA at about 10am to get my ticket and check-in my luggage. Jie sent me as she needs to get to KLIA Cargo to get her package. Said goodbye to her and walked straight to MAS Golden Lounge. I was so lucky that I bump into Shangker & Prakash (from Commercial dpt) - they are on the same flight with me! Boarded the MH4 flight at around 12.30pm and the hell journey begins!

This is my first time travelling out of Asia and it will be an eye opener. This travel blog will be my memories (and hope yours too!)...for years to come!
