This beach is SICK!! The man that once lived on this land, dug a tunnel out of the rock so his daughter could go down to the beach. Check out the pics of this spectacular beach :)

Queenstown journal: Queenstown & The Remarkables

On Friday, I left for Queenstown. We stayed with Sharkey's family in their time share. After a big feed on Saturday morning, we made our way to The Remarkables to go snowboarding. Our car didn't quite make it up the moutain, so we had to wait for a ride. After staying on the trails the first half of the day, we realized that hiking was the only way to ride this mountain. We had an amazing second half of the day. We were all pumped up on adrenaline and picking the lines we wanted to take on our way up in the chairlift. Oh ya, there are no trees on the ski mountains in New Zealand. ...

Otago Penninsula journal: The Penninsula

The penninula is soooo beautiful! It is about 20 minutes from Dunedin and there are tons of beaches, wildlife, green hills and mountains. I went to the penninsula with the international students at the University of Otago. It was a good introduction to the area I will be living in for the next five months.

Rotorua journal: Program Introduction

We began our trip in Rotorua, NZ. We went rappeling down waterfalls while caving, zorbing, hungi with some Maori's, and got to know lots of people sudying abroad from the states. I loved rapelling down waterfalls :) We arrived in Dunedin on Fourth of July but no celebration this year. (just like my birthday that was non-existent)

Long Beach journal: Long Beach

Well, me and about 10 friends went to Long Beach to go camping. We spent the night in the cave at the end of the beach. We had a bon fire in the cave, which kept us nice and toasty. We brought marshmellows but they don't have graham crackers in NZ so we used my homemade chocolate chip cookies as the outside of the smores. One of my friends played the guitar and one the harmonica while we sat around and had a good time. The next day, we went rock climbing on the rocks on the beach. And after we left Long Beach we visited a beach with a rope swing on it. Enjoy the pics :)
