Bad Homburg journal: A Castle Nearby!

Bad Homburg is absolutely beautiful and serene. The town center is gorgeous with a 5 block pedestrian walkway with shopping and restaurants. Outside of this downtown is a beautiful park and the spa area. Bad Homburg is know for it's spas. I cannot wait to go one afternoon. The spas are open from 10:00 - 22:00 every day of the week.

Schloss castle is right nearby as well and overlooks a beautiful view of the city and the Taunus mountains. The castle has a beautiful white tower that you can go up into as well.

Germany journal: Our journey has begun!

Well, after a 9 hour flight on Lufthansa, we made it to Oberursel, Germany. We had a nice, young man pick us up from the airport and take us to our new flat. We were amazed at how beautiful the flat was and more awed at the fruit we have in our new garden (johannesbeeren, apples, raspberries, and grapes). We have wooden floors, leather couches, a dishwasher (thank God!), and a washer and dryer -- none of this really belongs to us - the apartment is already furnished.

Our flat is conveniently located near EDEKA (a supermarket) and we are only a 10 minute to our new workplace. We are ...
