We rode the Paddlewheeler Discovery III today.  This was a very interesting and educational boat ride and well worth the time.  The ride included a visit to Chena Village, a recreation of an Athabasca Indian village with several very good commentators on the history and culture of the Athabasca Indians.

We rode the boat with 12 busloads from various tour lines and the boat was not full and the crowds were manegable.

We recommend the Discovery III and the cruise on the Chena and Tanana Rivers.

We just booked the paddlewheeler boat tour...for the AM on our one full day in Fairbanks......we leave the next morning for Denali....what is the best use of our time in Fairbanks, after the AM boat tour, since we have all afternoon and evening ??
