In a building originally designed in the late 19th century to house apartments, this restaurant celebrates Basque cuisine. The Basques are noted as the finest chefs in Spain, and their cuisine is served here in one of the most elegantly and comfortably furnished restaurants in the city. Schedule a meal for a special night -- it's worth the money. The menu might include hake fried with garlic or garnished with clams and served with fish broth. Roast lamb, grilled rabbit, and pheasant are well prepared and succulent, as are the desserts. There's dining outside in the formal garden during the summer.
