More information on Counter
Vegetarians have a hard time in the Big Apple, even though every nook and corner of the city has at least one eatery. Counter is a stand-alone 100 percent vegetarian organic wine and martini bar. The name and menu may paint a boring picture, but you will do away with all your pre-conceived notions as soon as you enter this pretty, chirpy restaurant. Try the Smoked-tofu Po' Boy with Mashed Potatoes, and for dessert have the all-time favorite Key Lime Pie. A circular bar serves organic beer, martinis and wines.
