With its business center, conference facilities, and fully equipped meeting room, the stately Eresin Crown hopes to attract business trippers hoping to accomplish some sightseeing after-hours. Rooms are well appointed but a bit sterile, simply adorned with pale yellow and beige tones, window seats, plaster friezes, and kilims. Each has a Jacuzzi (those in the six suites have special massage mechanisms). During the building of the Eresin, Byzantine floor mosaics, marble columns, and a cistern were uncovered, artifacts later identified as belonging to the women's quarters of Justinian's palace. Altogether, the hotel recovered, registered, and now exhibits 49 historically significant museum pieces dating to the Hellenistic and Byzantine times, giving this hotel a "boutique museum" quality. From its enormous rooftop terrace, the Eresin also boasts one of the most magnificent panoramic views of Old City in Sultanahmet.
