The upper price category Matsumi restaurant is located in the beautiful and popular Colonnaden. It offers traditional dishes, but also rare Japanese specialities. On the outside, the Matsumi has a modern, but distinctly Japanese design. Inside, there are plain little tables and a long bar to dine at. Many Japanese people come here for the authentic ambience and a nice meal. In addition to Wapanabe (vegetable stew) and Miso soup, there are tempura, sukiyaki and sushi creations on the menu; the sushi is particularly impressive. Sushi master Morita is even authorized to prepare poisonous fish.
