Local celeb chef Tom Douglas celebrates his wife's/partner's Greek heritage with his latest restaurant, which is located in the über-hip Hotel Ändra. More akin to Douglas's Palace Kitchen than his plush Dahlia Lounge, Lola is a loud, lively, casual place. Rest assured this is not your standard Greek place. In fact, other than the words kebab, tzatziki, and dolmades, you won't find much common ground here with other Greek restaurants. Start things out with the super garlicky skordalia spread and pita bread. I always have the octopus and pork belly braised in red wine, but you should also try the salmon kebabs with fennel or the prawn kebabs with curried Muscat glaze. For the full family-dinner treatment, go for the Lola Big Dinner, which will gives you lots of tastes of the less adventurous dishes on the menu. Not up for a big meal?
