Dine in the canteen of the Iranian Cultural Association in Denmark, located in Nørrebro. Blågårdsgade Street is a great place to walk around, becasue of the myriad of colors leaping out from the assortment of African, Turkish and Arabic shops. The Iranian Association is mainly a connecting point for the Iranian community in Denmark, but is open to everybody. The canteen with its Persian decorations has plenty of space. Most of the main courses at this place are variations on the theme of grilled skewers with lamb or chicken marinated in yoghurt with grilled tomato and Iranian rice. But you can also get various casseroles with beef. For dessert feast on the delicacy Akbar Mashdi, Iranian ice cream with saffron. A meal with drinks (no alcohol served here)will cost only DKK50.
