Bandung is the only Indonesian restaurant in Oxford and should be tried for its delightful Malay/Indonesian mix. The restaurant is tiny, but appears bigger because of the clever use of mirrors. It is very intimate but not crowded. There is plenty of greenery and the relaxed atmosphere is enhanced by tropical fish. The portions at Bandung are not as generous as you'd expect from a Southeast Asian restaurant, but what you do get is excellent. Delicately spiced along the lines of Indian cuisine, the food also has something of the subtlety of Chinese. The house white wine is very good.
