One of the row of low-priced, friendly restaurants that line Barton Springs Road just east of Zilker Park, Chuy's stands out for its determinedly wacky decor -- hubcaps lining the ceiling, Elvis memorabilia galore -- and its sauce-smothered Tex-Mex food. You're not likely to leave hungry after specials such as Chuy's special enchiladas, piled high with smoked chicken and cheese and topped with sour cream, or one of the "big as yo' face" burritos, stuffed with ground sirloin, say, and cheese and beans. This has been a local landmark since long before presidential daughter Jenna Bush got busted here for underage drinking (the margaritas are tempting . . . ). There are two other Chuy's in town, one in the north on 10520 N. Lamar Blvd. (tel. 512/836-3218), the other in the northwest on 11680 N. Research Blvd. (tel. 512/342-0011).
