This roadside outdoor eatery is a late night favorite. Alfred's Kitchen has been around since 1946 and has remained an institution in historic Guildford. There are no tables and the seats are large tree stumps. You can join the regulars sitting around the open log fire, which burns late into the night. Old-fashioned homemade food is the specialty. The steak burgers and the "Cram" are complete meals in themselves. Lentil burgers keep vegetarians happy and the pea soup is legendary.Takeaway available.
