Watch for the specials at this 65-year-old family restaurant, where everything from soup to dessert is made in the Sasakis' kitchen. You can get an inexpensive hamburger for lunch, but there are fancier specials on the wide-ranging menu. Complete dinners go for $9 to $24; entrees include grilled fresh ahi or ono and macadamia-nut chicken. The familiar favorites remain as well (oxtail soup, Japanese-style dinners, chow mein, and roast turkey). Locally grown organic greens are a big hit, and specialty salads are a welcome addition.
